CPM September 2018 FINAL LR

Message from our Editor:
Commercial real estate drives the economy as an employer and purchaser of goods and services; it backstops the economy as an investment asset class; and it literally houses a vast portion of global economic activity.
Canadian Property Management drills into and draws connections between each of these key functions — exploring how the buildings sector coexists with a fragile environment and its multidisciplinary workforce navigates an evolving society.

Broccolini has opened the Broccolini Corporate Centre Saint-Laurent 2, a LEED Silver, 129,310 square foot commercial and office space over five floors.

While negotiations for potential tenants is underway, Hospira Healthcare Corporation, the Canadian division of Hospira Inc, will lease 51 532 square feet of the complex as lead tenant. Also, Innomar Strategies Inc., a division of AmerisourceBergen Canada, will occupy 13,967 square feet.

Built in a little more than a year, the facility is located near public transportation and sits at the gateway of Technoparc Montréal’s Saint-Laurent Campus, close to Highways 13 and 40 and Pierre-Elliot-Trudeau International Airport.

Amenities include a full-service cafeteria with catering services, a fitness centre and physio room, an outside terrace adjacent to the cafeteria, and additional landscaped green spaces. Exterior and underground parking, as well as bicycle racks and charging stations for electric vehicles are some other features.

“My council colleagues and I are particularly proud that the firm shares our commitment to focusing on sustainable development and demonstrates that by constructing quality buildings with the aim of achieving LEED certification,” said Borough Mayor of Saint-Laurent Alan DeSousa.
